Project account
This login is for the handful of people with commit access to the tree. If you are here to get the code, read it, build it, or file a bug, you do not need an account and this page is a dead end for you - see below.
Read-only checkout needs no account. The whole tree is fetchable anonymously; that is how almost everyone uses it. An account exists only to push, and push is gated behind a sponsoring maintainer because a two-person project cannot vet strangers at the rate a sign-up form would let them in.

New accounts are not self-service. They require a sponsoring maintainer: mail hexforge@hexforge.cloud from the address you want enrolled, name your sponsor, and say what you intend to push. Anonymous checkout of the tree needs no account at all - if you only want the code, you are done already.
What to do instead, in order of likelihood
- You want the code. Fetch a release tarball or check out the tree read-only. No account.
- You found a bug. Mail the list with a minimal
.vthat reproduces it and the exact command line. No account. - You have a patch. Send it inline to the list. If it is good and it is not your first, a maintainer may offer to sponsor an account; that is how commit access is earned here, not requested.
- You maintain a board port. Then you probably already have an account, or you are about to be offered one - those are the people who need to push.
If you were sent a link to "register" for HexForge anywhere other than this domain, it is not ours. There is no paid tier, no cloud build service, and no account that unlocks features - the whole thing is BSD-2-Clause source and always has been.
